SMEMojo is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all personal and business data entrusted to us. This Data Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you access our platform, services, and ecosystem — including the RIC Score assessment, Advisor Bootcamp, Expert Advisor network, and institutional partnerships.
By accessing or using SMEMojo's services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of our services immediately.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. For business accounts, we also collect your company name, role, industry, and business type.
When you complete the RIC Score assessment, we collect responses to over 300 factors across three dimensions: Readiness, Investability, and Competitiveness. This includes business operations data, financial indicators, market positioning, team composition, and growth metrics. This data is used exclusively to generate your RIC Score and personalized growth recommendations.
For Advisor Bootcamp participants, we collect course progress, quiz results, exam scores, and certification status. This data is used to track your learning journey and issue certifications.
We automatically collect device information, browser type, IP address, pages visited, and interaction patterns to improve platform performance and security. We use analytics to understand how our services are used in aggregate.
Payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors. We do not store credit card numbers or banking details on our servers. We retain transaction records (amount, date, subscription type) for accounting purposes.
We use the information we collect to:
Your RIC Score and select business profile information may be shared with ecosystem participants (investors, Expert Advisors) only with your explicit consent and only to the extent necessary to facilitate connections and advisory services. You control what is visible to other ecosystem members through your profile settings.
When you are assessed through an institutional partnership (e.g., a government agency, business association, or accelerator), your sponsoring institution may receive your RIC Score and assessment summary. Individual assessment responses are never shared with institutional partners without your explicit consent.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or business data to third parties. We may share data with service providers (hosting, analytics, payment processing) who are contractually bound to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.
We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of SMEMojo, our users, or the public.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest, access controls, regular security audits, and secure cloud infrastructure. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel who require it to perform their duties.
While we take every reasonable precaution, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
The SMEMojo ecosystem contains proprietary assessment data, scoring methodologies, and business intelligence that are protected by intellectual property law.
The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination, legal action, and prosecution to the fullest extent of applicable law:
SMEMojo actively monitors for unauthorized data access and reserves the right to pursue civil and criminal remedies against violators, including injunctive relief and damages.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Assessment data is retained to enable longitudinal tracking of your business growth over time — a core feature of the RIC Score. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, legal compliance).
Anonymized and aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for research, analytics, and platform improvement.

SMEMojo operates globally. Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. When we transfer data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including standard contractual clauses and compliance with applicable data protection regulations (including GDPR, PDPA, and other relevant frameworks).

SMEMojo's services are designed for business professionals and are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
